World’s Spiciest Nasi Lemak Sambal

On April 8, 2025, Sri Bhanu Devi Subramaniam from Malaysia created a sambal sauce for Nasi Lemak using a combination of Teja chilies, Ghost Pepper, and Carolina Reaper. The chili blend used in the sambal reached a total cumulative heat value of 41,250,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), with an average intensity of approximately 82,500 SHU per gram of sauce. After verification by Forbes World Records Certification, she successfully set the world record for the " World’s Spiciest Nasi Lemak Sambal ".
